Parkville High School Knights Clinch Second Place in Home Cross Country Meet
Parkville High School hosted a challenging 12 Team Challenge cross country meet on September 17, 2025, featuring regional schools such as Dulaney, Overlea, and Towson. Competing on their home turf, the Knights displayed strong performance, securing a commendable second place in the boys' category. The event, characterized by its tough course with notable hills where several athletes struggled, showcased the perseverance required in cross country. The Parkville High School Knights, led by standout performances from athletes like Aryan Sigdel who received additional recognition, navigated the course with skill and determination. According to Titus Jeffries, a competing athlete, 'People rise and people fall,' encapsulating the day's highs and lows. Parkville's coach expressed pride in his team, noting, 'When you're a Knight, things go right.' This sentiment reflects the spirit and camaraderie within the team which contributed to their successful outing. Looking ahead, the Knights are set to compete in their next meet on September 24, 2025, at Catonsville High School, a venue Coach Browne describes as his favorite for hosting meets.
