Seaside Cross Country Looks Ahead With Determination to Win at The Bigfoot Classic
Seaside High School cross country enters the preseason ready to face the challenges ahead, with a senior group representing both our boys and girls teams. Our outlook centers on meeting those challenges together as we prepare for the demands of varsity competition.
One notable meet on the regional calendar is The Bigfoot Classic, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Alderbrook Golf Course in Tillamook, Oregon. Our participation has not been confirmed. The varsity girls’ 5,000-meter race is set for 4 p.m., followed by the varsity boys’ 5,000-meter race at 4:45 p.m. Both races will award team trophies for first through third place.
Individual recognition at The Bigfoot Classic will include ribbons for the top eight finishers in each race and free T-shirts for the top three. For families considering attending, participants and spectators must not arrive before 2 p.m. and must use designated parking areas. Those arrival requirements apply ahead of the afternoon racing schedule.
We recognize our senior boys, Kyle Weichal, Kaden Bingham, Henry Rollins, Josiah Simonis and Dexter Jenks, along with our senior girls, Kimberley Martinez-Luna and Grace Walker. These seven runners give our program a senior presence on both sides as they approach their final high school cross country season.
