Eagles at the Next Level: St. Edward Alumni Deliver Across College Football

Conor Patrick Donelon ‘03 | St. Edward High School | Oct 2, 2026

A five-touchdown performance from Davidson quarterback Casey Bullock highlighted a productive weekend for St. Edward High School football alumni, whose college careers now span all THREE DIVISIONS. Bullock completed 28 of 44 passes for 345 yards and five touchdowns, adding 29 rushing yards on eight carries to finish with 374 yards of total offense. The former Eagles quarterback led a group of graduates contributing through touchdown catches, defensive pressure and special-teams plays. In all, 52 former Eagles are on college football rosters: 29 in Division I, 12 in Division II and 11 in Division III.

Several defensive standouts carried their production from Lakewood to the college level. Findlay’s Jon Slaper recorded 11 tackles and two tackles for loss against Northwood. At Kenyon, Michael Kerr finished with three solo tackles, a sack for a 14-yard loss, one tackle for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, two pass breakups and three quarterback hurries. Joel Castleberry contributed six tackles, including four solo stops, for UT Martin, along with 1.5 tackles for loss, a sack and a fumble recovery. Zyion Brown led The Citadel with eight tackles against Chattanooga, adding another team-leading effort to the Eagles’ weekend.

The offensive contributions extended well beyond Bullock. Ohio Dominican’s Luke Hess caught four passes for 70 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown reception, while teammate Yon German gained 30 yards on a fake punt and recorded a solo special-teams tackle. At Akron, Kyan Mason caught three passes for 73 yards, highlighted by a 46-yard reception. Brandon White contributed as both a runner and receiver for Kent State, carrying 10 times for 26 yards and catching three passes for 11 yards and a touchdown. White finished with 37 yards from scrimmage, while fellow Eagle Troy started on Kent State’s defensive line and recorded a quarterback hurry.

Loghan Thomas registered two tackles, one tackle for loss and a sack for a four-yard loss at Notre Dame. Northwestern’s Michael Kilbane recorded five tackles, two solo and three assisted, plus a quarterback hurry; Troy Regovich also represents St. Edward in the Northwestern program. Johnny Hutton III made five tackles, including four solo stops, for Florida A&M. Aydin Buchanan started at defensive back for Concordia-St. Paul and finished with four tackles. At Gannon, Jaden Woods contributed a solo tackle and a tackle for loss, while Princeton’s Bradley Eaton added an assisted tackle on kick coverage.

Other Eagles contributed in the passing game and along the offensive line. Ohio’s Zach Hackleman caught a pass for 15 yards, and Washington & Jefferson tight end Drew Mahle made two receptions for 14 yards. Ben Roebuck started on Western Michigan’s offensive line, while Sawyer Prementine earned another start for Mercyhurst. Those assignments broadened a weekend that included alumni catching touchdowns, generating negative plays on defense and filling roles that do not produce traditional individual statistics.

Coastal Carolina’s Wyatt Gedeon, Iowa’s Xavier Styles and Kenyon’s Dawson Filut also saw action, extending the green-and-gold connection across more college programs. Together, the alumni performances reflect the range of paths former Eagles have taken while remaining part of the St. Edward Brotherhood, from Division I stadiums to Division II and Division III competition. Special teams remained part of that story as well: Denison long snapper Caden Yondo handled the snapping duties on all three of the team’s extra-point attempts.
