Fifth Annual SSAA Volleyball Invitational Set for Aug. 21-22
Sunshine State Athletics will open the 2026 volleyball season with the fifth annual SSAA Volleyball Invitational Tournament on Aug. 21-22 at the AdventHealth Fieldhouse in Winter Haven, Florida. The two-day season kickoff tournament will bring together 32 teams from across the state. The field will be divided into the Blue Division and Orange Division, giving each team a path through pool and bracket competition. Pool play is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 21, before the tournament shifts to bracket play on Saturday, Aug. 22. The opening day will establish Saturday’s brackets and set up the weekend’s must-watch matchups as teams advance toward placement and championship contests.
Each division will crown a gold champion and gold runner-up at the end of bracket play. Silver, bronze and copper bracket winners also will be recognized in both divisions, creating multiple championship races across the 32-team field. With teams arriving from throughout Florida, the invitational will provide a broad early-season test and a chance for programs to measure their progress at the start of the schedule.
The 2026 event marks the tournament’s fifth year and continues its role as a statewide opening-weekend showcase. Competition will begin with Friday’s pool schedule and conclude Saturday when champions and placement winners are decided in both the Blue and Orange divisions.
