LAKELAND, Fla. - Out-of-Door Academy captured the SSAA Girls State Championship on Thursday, Sept. 17, finishing with a team score of 341 to secure first place by 15 strokes over Bell Creek Academy.
Bell Creek earned runner-up honors with a 356. Out-of-Door Academy's winning total provided a clear margin in the final standings, separating the champion and runner-up in the team competition.
Brooklyn Cullen recorded the championship's top individual score with a 77. Kylani Gather followed closely with a 78, leaving the top two individual finishers separated by one stroke. Their rounds were the only reported scores below 80 and highlighted the strongest individual performances of the event.
Out-of-Door Academy's 341 stood as the decisive number in the team race, while Bell Creek's 356 secured second place. Cullen and Gather supplied the individual highlights with their one-stroke duel at the top, completing the championship with the two lowest reported rounds.
