JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - We will open the Sunshine State Athletics volleyball championship tournament Friday, Oct. 2, in Winter Haven, bringing together 42 teams from around Florida for two days of competition. The SSAA Volleyball Championships begin at 11 a.m. EDT and run through Saturday, Oct. 3, with teams competing in multiple divisions.
Our State Championship Division is the tournament’s highest division. Its field features Indian Rocks Christian, Delphi Academy, Southwest Florida Christian and Legacy Charter. Those four programs form the top championship bracket within a statewide event that also includes competition in other divisions.
The 42-team field makes this more than a single-bracket championship weekend. Teams from across the state will compete in their respective divisions during the Friday-Saturday tournament. The State Championship Division provides the highest-level title race, while the other divisions are also part of the two-day championship program.
Competition will take place at 210 Cypress Gardens Blvd. in Winter Haven. The tournament’s opening time is 11 a.m. Friday; fans following a particular team should check the match schedule for that program’s assigned time rather than treating the event’s starting time as the start of every team’s competition.
Follow our championship brackets and match schedule for the tournament’s matchups and playing times. Championship competition continues through Saturday, Oct. 3.
