The 3C2A #5 state ranked Taft College Cougars faced off against the Columbia College Claim Jumpers in a thrilling conference volleyball event in Sonora, CA, on October 17, 2025. The Cougars emerged victorious with a convincing 3-0 win, highlighting their dominance throughout the match. The first set saw the Cougars take a significant lead, ending the set with a 25-13 score. Their aggressive play and strategic serves were too much for the Claim Jumpers. In the second set, the Cougars maintained their form, securing the set with a scoreline of 25-15. Finally, in the third set, despite a resilient effort from Columbia College, Taft College closed the set at 25-19, ensuring a sweep in the match. Key performers for the Taft College included Jazzahlei Satele, who led the team with 8 kills, followed by Havi Valdez and Shylah Pulu-Valdez, each contributing significantly in both kills and blocks.
