TC Cougars Clinch Victory in Triangular Volleyball Series Against #9 College of San Mateo
In a closely contested triangular series, the Taft College Cougars secured a hard-fought victory against the #9 state ranked College of San Mateo Lady Bulldogs, with a final score of 3-2. The event took place on September 26, 2025, at San Mateo. The series opened strongly for the Cougars, winning the first set 25-19. However, the momentum shifted in the following sets as San Mateo took the second and third sets with scores of 25-18 and 25-21 respectively, putting Taft College in a pressure situation. The Cougars, unyielded by the setback, roared back in the fourth set, dominating with a 25-14 win, and narrowly edged out San Mateo 20-18 in the thrilling final set. Key performances were noted from Jazzahlei Satele who led with impressive statistics, recording 23 kills and the same number of digs. She was well-supported by Vienna Perier and Havi Valdez, who contributed significantly across the board.
