Burns Takes Runner-Up Honors for Tree of Life at MOCAL Final

SUNBURY, Ohio - Garrison Burns finished as the runner-up for Tree of Life Christian School in the final round of MOCAL Tournament No. 3 on Tuesday, leading the Trojans’ performance in the conference event. Liberty Christian’s MJ Glenn placed first and earned Player of the Year honors.
Burns’ second-place finish gave Tree of Life one of the tournament’s top two individual performances. Although individual stroke totals and team scores were not included in the final results, the runner-up showing placed Burns directly behind Glenn in the final order and provided a strong conclusion to the MOCAL tournament series.
The final round brought together golfers from Delaware Christian, Genoa Christian, Shekinah Christian, Granville Christian, Liberty Christian and Tree of Life Christian. Competition began at noon at 350 Bent Tree Road in Sunbury, with the six-school field determining the final individual and team standings.
Golfers opened the round under a clear sky with a temperature of 78 degrees and winds at 6 mph.
The Team Score was close at the top with Liberty Christian squeaking out a 1 stroke victory over Granville Christian to win the MOCAL 3-day tournament. The Trojans didn't have a team score due to the first event only having 3 players. Four players are required for a team score. TOL did place 4th and 5th respectively at the 2nd and 3rd event when our 4th player emerged.
