Tree of Life Christian finishes 4th in Six-Team Field at MOCAL Tournament #2
GRANVILLE, Ohio - Tree of Life Christian School competed against five other programs at MOCAL Tournament #2 on Thursday, Aug. 13, as the Trojans continued their golf schedule in Granville. Final top 4 team standings and top 8 individual scores are noted in attached OHSAA leaderboards.
Tree of Life’s Garrison Burns took medalist honors in the second of three events. This puts him in the top 3 overall out of 34 players through 2 rounds just 1 stroke behind the leader.
The tournament brought together Liberty Christian, Shekinah Christian, Genoa Christian, Granville Christian, Delaware Christian and Tree of Life Christian. The six-team field gave the Trojans a chance to measure themselves against a broad group of conference competition in the second MOCAL tournament.
Weather conditions were favorable for the event, with clear skies and light winds. Temperature was about 85, creating a warm and humid summer setting while the light wind limited one of the variables golfers typically face during tournament play.
MOCAL Tournament #2 represented first team competition for Tree of Life Christian within the league schedule. The Trojans finished 4th out of 6 teams and will carry the experience from the six-team event into their next appearance, with future rounds offering another opportunity to establish a team total and individual scoring leaders.
