Tree of Life Christian School Faces Liberty Christian in Season Opener at Airport Golf Course
Tree of Life Christian School's varsity golf team, the Trojans, commenced their MOCAL season with a dual match against the strong Liberty Christian team on August 28, 2025, at the Airport Golf Course. The match format was a 9-hole stroke play where Liberty Christian finished with a score of 172, surpassing the Trojans who ended the round with a score of 226. Top performers from the Trojans included Miles George, who scored 49, and Isaac Padgett with a score of 52. MJ Glenn from Liberty Christian was the medalist, recording a score of 39. The match was played under partly sunny weather conditions, providing a pleasant backdrop for the opening game of the season. Reflecting on the event, Coach Holahan remarked on the strengths of the Liberty Christian team, noting their status as last year's sectional champions and their blend of experienced returners with emerging young talent. Looking ahead, September promises to be a competitive month for the Trojans as they gear up for the upcoming MOCAL and sectional tournaments later in the month. The team is set to intensify their schedule the next 2 weeks with more MOCAL matches vs Genoa, Delaware, and Granville Christian.
