Tree of Life Christian School Girls Volleyball Triumphs in Sectional Opener

The Tree of Life Christian School Varsity Girls Volleyball team clinched a victory in the first round of the post-season sectionals, defeating the East Knox Bulldogs 3-1 on October 15, 2025, at their home court. The match commenced strongly for the Trojans, who took a commanding lead by winning the first set 25-14. They maintained their momentum into the second set, overcoming the Bulldogs with a score of 25-19. However, the third set saw a shift in dynamics as East Knox rallied to take the set 25-20. In a decisive fourth set, the Trojans regained their composure and secured the match with a 25-18 victory. The final score reflected the Trojans' resilience and strategic prowess throughout the competition. Autumn Sanders led the team to victory with 22 kills with the help of Megan Donnally's 23 assists and Allie Coleman's 7 aces. The Trojans' Varsity Girls Volleyball coach Kasey Kilian expressed pride in the team's performance, specifically highlighting their comeback in the third set and their tenacity in clinching the fourth set. 'I'm really proud of my team for coming back. We were way down in the third set and we came back to only lose by 5 and then fought hard in the fourth set to win the match. That takes a lot of grit and I'm proud of my girls for pulling it off,' the coach remarked following the victory. Looking ahead, the Trojans are set to face the Columbus School for Girls at home on October 18, 2025, as they continue their pursuit in the sectional playoffs. The team remains focused on maintaining their strong form as they move forward in the competition.
