Tree of Life Christian School Trojans Experience Tough Loss Against Shekinah Christian School Flames
The Tree of Life Christian School Trojans encountered a challenging game during their regular-season volleyball match against Shekinah Christian School on August 26, 2025. The match, held at Tree of Life, concluded with a score of 3-1 in favor of the visiting Flames. The opening set saw the Trojans secure a victory with a score of 25-20, demonstrating strong plays and effective coordination. However, the subsequent sets proved difficult for the home team. The Flames turned the tables in the second set, winning 25-15, and continued their strong performance to win the third set 25-18 and the fourth set 25-20, ultimately claiming the match. Notably, Tree of Life's players showcased significant efforts despite the outcome. Libby Homkes led with 14 kills, followed by Autumn Sanders with 11 kills. Both Mimi Cochran and the Sanders sisters, Autumn and Abby, contributed defensively with several crucial digs, while Allie Coleman along with the Sanders sisters managed to secure aces throughout the match. Looking ahead, the Trojans will travel to face Madison Christian School on August 28th. The team currently holds a balanced record of 2-2 for the season and will look to move above .500 for the season and in the league on Thursday.
