Tree of Life Christian School Trojans Secure Victory in Soccer Against Cristo Rey
Despite the challenging humid weather and intermittent showers, Tree of Life and Cristo Rey played on Tuesday night. Both teams were fiercely competitive from the start. After a closely contested first half, the teams went into the break tied 1-1. The Trojans turned the tide in the second half, leveraging an aggressive offensive strategy that translated into a series of successful plays. Calvin Spitznagle, Judah Korley, and Julius Ruiz were instrumental in shifting the momentum, each scoring crucial goals. Davis Kissler also made a mark by adding a late tally. The stand-out moment of the match was Judah Korley's game-winning goal, pushing the Trojans into a definitive lead. Assists came from Luke Cousens, Mang Nung, and once again Julius Ruiz, showcasing a strong team dynamic. Jesse Kanu, guarding the goal for the Trojans, played a pivotal role in defending the lead once it was established. The final whistle saw the Trojans emerging victoriously with a 4-1 score, enhancing their season record to 2-0. Moving forward, the Trojans are set to face Madison Christian on August 21, 2025 in MOCAL league action.
