Tree of Life Christian School opened Tuesday night with authority and never let up, sweeping Patriot Prep 3-0. The Trojans took the match 25-5, 25-15, 25-14, controlling all three sets and creating room for lineup changes while still keeping the pressure on throughout the evening.

The outcome gave Tree of Life a chance to showcase both its top-end efficiency and its depth. With the Trojans in command early, a couple of primarily JV players were able to log varsity minutes, a welcome sign for a team that kept its standard high even as the rotation shifted. That balance showed up across the match, with steady serving, clean attacking and enough consistency at the net to keep Patriot Prep from building momentum.

Serving set the tone from the outset. Jordan Barnett, Sam Kutnow, Calvin Spitznagle, Bryan Paniagua, Evan Fenton, Micah Smith, Elijah Valentine and Pascal Geiss all finished with a 100 serve percentage, helping Tree of Life stay in system.

The attack was just as efficient. Taylor Chou and Calvin Spitznagle each hit .667, leading a productive offensive night for Tree of Life, while Jay Payne added a .571 hitting percentage. Those numbers reflected the flow of the match, particularly during key stretches in the second and third sets when the Trojans turned strong passes into quick points and kept Patriot Prep from mounting a serious response. Tree of Life's combination of kills and solid play at the net helped close out the final two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-14.

The night offered another encouraging step for the Trojans as contributors throughout the lineup found a rhythm. Tree of Life got the result it wanted, spread valuable minutes around the roster and still delivered a crisp straight-set performance, the kind of all-around effort that can build confidence as the season moves forward.

Tree of Life is on the road against Whetstone on Wednesday, April 22.
