Tree of Life Trojans Kick Off Season with Dominant Win Over Liberty Union
In their season opener on August 16, 2025, the Tree of Life Christian School Trojans varsity boys soccer team showcased a stellar performance at their home ground, Northridge Field, securing a commanding 8-0 victory against Liberty Union. The hot and humid weather did not deter the Trojans as they took an early lead and continued to dominate the game.
David Frantz opened the scoring for the Trojans, setting the pace for the match with the first goal of the season, which turned out to be the game winner. His performance, along with Davis Kissler and Calvin Spitznagle who both scored twice, played a crucial role in the Trojans' offensive success. Additional goals from Judah Korley, Adriano Perez, and Nang Mung ensured a robust lead. By halftime, the Trojans had already built an impressive 4-0 lead over Liberty Union.
Assists were plentiful, with Luke Cousens setting up three goals. Jesse Bioh, Nang Mung, Sam Kutnow, and Judah Korley each contributed to the scoreline by assisting their teammates, showcasing a strong collaborative spirit. Defensively, goalie Jesse Kanu kept a clean sheet with three significant saves, effectively shutting down Liberty Union's attempts to get back into the game.
The final whistle marked an 8-0 scoreline, with the Trojans' perfect start to the season leaving them with a current record of 1-0. The match was an exceptional display of both offensive prowess and defensive solidity, positioning the Trojans as formidable contenders for the upcoming games in their regular season.
