Tree of Life Christian School’s Trojans Co-ed Golf team well represented the school at the Marysville Bunsold MS Golf Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, in Cable, Ohio. Competition amongst 8 teams started at 8:30 a.m. EDT, giving the Trojans an early start in a tournament setting.
The invitational offered the Trojans an opportunity to compete as a group while pursuing the steady individual rounds that shape a strong team total. Every shot matters, from opening tee balls and approach shots to the putts that complete each hole.
Conditions were chilly at the start: Clear skies, a temperature of 55 degrees and winds of approximately 5 mph greet the golfers in the morning. The morning dew dried up by 11am with sunny skies and temperatures of about 70 degrees at the end.
The Trojan middle school golf team fought valiantly throughout the day at this 18 hole tournament. Despite our team score being 30 strokes better than last year, we had stiff competition and just came up short of the next place team. However, James McDaniel tied for eighth place overall amongst the field of approximately 50 golfers. Jack Freda also closest to the pin on hole number 14. Will Clunk, Timmy Sierra, and Jack Freda scored for the Trojans.
Marysville always puts on a great tournament and the kids had a lot of fun with many door prizes given out at the end along with a yummy box lunch and snacks during and after play. :-)
