Trojans Celebrate Senior Night With Sweep of New Hope

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Tree of Life Christian School celebrated senior night with a 3-0 volleyball victory over New Hope Christian Academy on Thursday, Oct. 1. The Trojans won 25-19, 25-16, 25-13, pairing a strong serving and attacking performance with a pink-out celebration honoring seniors Megan Donnally, Allegra Santamaria and Klark Wilkinson.
Tree of Life opened with a six-point victory in the first set, then took the second by nine points to move within one set of the sweep. The Trojans finished with their widest margin of the night, winning the third by 12 points. New Hope scored fewer points in each successive set as Tree of Life completed the straight-set victory.
Donnally helped direct the offense with 28 assists from 78 sets, contributing to the attacking performance that powered the senior-night win. Her work extended beyond setting: She recorded 16 serves and two aces, adding scoring from the service line. Donnally also finished with two attacks and two block assists in a performance that touched several parts of the Trojans' game.
Santamaria contributed four kills on seven attacks, giving Tree of Life another offensive contribution from its senior class. She also recorded six serves and three block assists. Her production at the net complemented Donnally's setting and serving, helping make the celebration a successful night on the court as well.
All three honored seniors contributed to the sweep, with each recording attacks and blocks as the Trojans closed the match in three sets. Wilkinson added two kills on seven attacks to round out the senior class's offensive contributions. She also supplied two solo blocks and one block assist.
