Trojans Sweep Delaware Christian in Straight Sets Behind Strong Serving

Tree of Life Christian School used relentless serving pressure and a balanced attack to sweep Delaware Christian 3-0 on Monday night in Columbus. The Trojans controlled the match from the opening serve, winning 25-8, 25-10 and 25-9 on their home court.

The Trojans set the tone with a commanding first set. Their work from the service line kept Delaware Christian from settling into a consistent rhythm, while Tree of Life converted its opportunities at the net. The 25-8 victory gave the Trojans immediate momentum and established the pace for the rest of the match.

Tree of Life carried that pressure into the second set and continued to create separation. The Trojans' 25-10 win also provided an opportunity to use several different lineups without losing their offensive flow. That flexibility highlighted the team's depth as multiple players contributed to the efficient performance.

The Trojans completed the sweep with a 25-9 victory in the third set. Tree of Life held Delaware Christian to 10 points or fewer in every set and surrendered only 27 total points across the match. The decisive finish capped a consistent effort built on serving, setting and timely kills.

Abby Sanders delivered 11 kills and a match-high six aces, making an impact both at the net and from the service line. Allie Coleman led the Trojans with 12 kills and added eight digs, providing offense along with steady back-row play. Together, Sanders and Coleman accounted for 23 kills.

Megan Donnally directed the attack with 18 assists, while Kendra Luyombya finished with 14 assists and four aces. Their combined 32 assists helped Tree of Life maintain its offensive rhythm through the lineup changes, and Luyombya joined Sanders to give the Trojans 10 aces between the two servers. With contributions throughout the lineup, Tree of Life turned a strong night at the service line into a convincing home sweep.
