Trojans vs Genoa Christian in Aug. 27 Golf Match
Tree of Life Christian School’s varsity golf team faced off with Genoa Christian on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, in Sunbury, Ohio. The match provided the Trojans a head-to-head league test against a close opponent.
Conditions were favorable for golf, with clear skies, a temperature near 79 degrees and winds around 5 mph. The light wind should limit weather-related complications, although players will still need to account for course conditions since the recent deluge of rain. Bent Tree has some tricky spots on the course.
The Trojans fought hard and came away with their best score of the year, but just came up a few strokes short of the victory. Tree was led by Garrison Burns with a score of 42 and took second place overall. Brooks Norman of Genoa Christian was the medalist at 41.
the Trojans continue their Mocal schedule next week versus Delaware Christian, followed by the last Mocal tournament event on September 8. Both events will be at Bent Tree golf club.
