Broncos Roll Past Westosha Central 42-7 on Homecoming Night

UNION GROVE, Wis. - Union Grove controlled its homecoming game from start to finish Friday night, rolling to a 42-7 conference victory over Westosha Central before a packed crowd at Union Grove High School. The Broncos carried a shutout into the final minute, then Santos Paredes recorded his first career interception to close out the win.

The Broncos established control with a productive rushing attack that accounted for five touchdowns. Jonte Everett led the group with 95 yards and a touchdown, while Nathan Tucker ran for 83 yards and two scores. Quinn Schultz added 48 yards and two rushing touchdowns, giving Union Grove steady production from several ball carriers.

Schultz also delivered through the air, connecting with Justin Williamson for a 37-yard touchdown. Between his two rushing scores and the touchdown pass, Schultz had a hand in three of Union Grove's six touchdowns. Williamson's scoring reception added another dimension to an offense that consistently put pressure on Westosha Central.

Union Grove matched its offensive production with a strong defensive performance. JJ Fletcher led the effort with seven tackles, and the Broncos kept Westosha Central off the scoreboard until the final minute. That late touchdown ended the shutout but did not threaten Union Grove's commanding advantage.

Paredes supplied the final defensive highlight with his first career interception. The takeaway sealed a victory in which the Broncos maintained their intensity throughout the night and gave the homecoming crowd plenty to celebrate under clear skies and 57-degree conditions.

Union Grove will face off against the Waterford Wolverines in a highly anticipated SLC matchup at 7 p.m. CDT Friday, Oct. 2 in Union Grove.
