Union Grove High Broncos Excel at High School Invitational at Carthage College
Union Grove High School's Track and Field team showcased their prowess at the High School Invitational held at Carthage College on March 21, 2025. The Broncos competed against a multitude of schools from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana, marking a strong start to their season.
Nathan Tucker, a standout athlete from Union Grove High, delivered impressive performances in the Boys 55 Meter Dash. Tucker clocked 6.63 in the prelims before bettering his time to 6.61 in the finals, securing a commendable third place out of 62 competitors. On the girls' side, Ashley Lamers shone in the Girls Pole Vault, reaching a height of 10 feet to also finish in third place.
The team's coach expressed satisfaction with the team's overall performance. "We had a good first meet from returners and new recruits alike. It was a very good start to our season and I look forward to what we can do the rest of the season," the coach stated, underscoring the positive momentum the team has as they prepare for their next competition.
The Broncos will be looking to continue their strong performance at their next event scheduled for March 29, 2025, at UW-Parkside.
