Union Grove High School Boys Tennis Secures Second Place in Conference Tournament

The Union Grove High School Broncos boys varsity tennis team finished impressively with second place in the conference tournament held on May 22, 2025, at Westosha Central. The event witnessed Union Grove competing against formidable opponents including Central High School, Waterford High School, Wilmot High School, Lake Geneva Badger, Burlington High School, Beloit Memorial, and Elkhorn. Standout performances were recorded during the tournament, particularly in singles matches where Union Grove's own Nolan Shaub clinched first place, while Quinn Mork and Chris Donkor placed second and third respectively. In doubles, the duo of Will Marshall and Dan Wallace showcased their skills by finishing second in the conference, adding notable points to the Broncos' tally. The invitational tournament concluded with Lake Geneva Badger leading the scoretable with 40 points. Union Grove secured a respectable second place with a total of 21.5 points, followed by Burlington High School, which scored 16 points. The results underline Union Grove's competitive spirit and technical prowess on the court. Looking ahead, the Broncos will next compete in the subsectionals scheduled for May 27, 2025, at Westosha Central. The team continues to focus on strategic play and maintaining physical sharpness as they look to make a run at the state tournament
