Union Grove High School Boys' Tennis Secures Victory Over Elkhorn
In a remarkable display of skill and determination, the Union Grove High School Boys' Tennis team, representing the Broncos, overcame Elkhorn Area High School with a convincing 5-2 win in their latest conference match on April 29, 2025. Playing away in Elkhorn, the Broncos showed exceptional performance, especially in their singles matches, dominating the all four singles slots. A particular standout moment came when Henry Barrera made a sensational comeback from a 3-0 deficit in his set, ultimately securing a 6-3 victory, setting the stage for the team's overall success. The doubles matches also saw noteworthy performances, particularly from the team's second doubles, contributing crucially to the overall team score. Coach's Commentary: Despite the win, Coach expressed a desire for improvement. "We need to be better. That is a match we should have won 7-0 and we look forward to our match with Wilmot and getting better each week," the coach mentioned, indicating a focus on continuous improvement.
