Union Grove High School Broncos Excel at Tomah Tune-Up Golf Tournament

In a rigorous test of skill and endurance at the Hiawatha Golf Club, the Union Grove High School Broncos showcased their prowess at the Tomah Tune-Up golf tournament on August 18, 2025. Competing against a formidable lineup that included teams such as Tomah, River Falls, and several others, the varsity girls' team performed commendably, securing the 4th place out of 20 teams with an overall score of 379. The tournament was highlighted by remarkable performances from the Broncos’ top golfers. Alana Keevers led the team with an outstanding score of 79, earning her the 2nd place out of 99 individual players. Aubrey Young and Chelsea Haertel followed suit with a commendable score of 93, and together with Abby Waterworth and Adeline Dobrinska, who scored 114 and 126 respectively, completed the team's scoring. Notably, Keevers’ achievement in securing the second position individually was a highlight of the event. The weather played a significant role in the day's challenges, with the first 10 holes played under steady rain, followed by cloudy conditions in the upper 70s. Despite these hurdles, the coach expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, particularly praising the adaptability and consistency of the players under less-than-ideal conditions. Looking ahead, the Broncos are set to participate in the Elk Invite at Evergreen, scheduled for the following Wednesday. This next event will provide another opportunity for the team to demonstrate their skills and continue building on their current season's successes.
