Union Grove High School Broncos Girls Varsity Volleyball Faces Challenging Day at Watertown Invite
The Union Grove High School Broncos Girls Varsity Volleyball team faced a challenging competition at the Watertown Invite held at Watertown High School on September 13, 2025. The Broncos played a rigorous series of matches, ending the day with a 2-3 record. The day began with pool play where Union Grove fought against three teams. Their first game was against Verona, which they lost in a close three-set match (23-25, 25-23, 8-15). The team then played against Depere, losing in two sets (16-25, 22-25), followed by a significant victory over Hartford in three sets (25-16, 20-25, 15-6). Despite winning only one of the three pool games, notable performances included powerful plays by Junior Outside Natalie Dallmann, who exhibited exceptional skills at the net and dominated her opponents throughout the day. Emma Sorensen, the senior libero, also improved her gameplay overcoming initial struggles with serve receiving and contributed with crucial digs and pickups. Following the pool play, Union Grove came out with incredible intention to secure a win against Waterford (25-13, 25-14), showcasing enhanced team energy and ball control. However, the Broncos faced Hartford again in the silver championship game and were defeated (12-25, 27-25, 12-15). The Broncos displayed notable scrappiness and made several great plays, credited to their overall team effort and improved ball handling. The Broncos had 124 kills, contributing atheltes were Jana Brown 27 kills, Natalie Dallmann 25 kills, and Jenna James 22 kills. Lindsay Noll scored 92 of the asissts. Libero, Emma Sorensen, had 59 digs followed by Karis Tucker with 31 and Lindsay Noll with 23. Union Grove High School's volleyball team currently holds an overall season record of 12-8, with a 1-1 stance in their conference games. Their next encounter will be against Beloit Memorial in a conference game on September 16, 2025.
