Union Grove High School Broncos Prevail in Convincing Win Over Racine Case
In a dominant display of skill and teamwork, the Union Grove High School Broncos boys varsity soccer team secured a decisive 5-0 victory against Racine Case in a non-conference event on September 18, 2023, at Union Grove Stadium. The game, blessed with sunny weather, showcased the Broncos' offensive prowess and solid defensive play, led by goalie Finn Jacobs, keeping a clean sheet throughout the game.
The Broncos established a commanding lead early in the first half, with the opening goal scored by Cam DaPra, which came from a goalkeeper error on the opposing team. The momentum continued as Ethan Barsch executed a stunning volley off a precise pass from senior Niall Hagen. As the half progressed, Hagen himself found the net with a well-taken set-piece. The halftime score read an impressive 4-0 in favor of Union Grove.
The second half saw continuous dominance from the Broncos, with Kellen Vermeer adding to the tally with a breakaway strike, setting the final score at 5-0.
