Union Grove High School Broncos Secure a Clean Sweep Against Waterford High School

In a captivating regular season conference volleyball match at Union Grove High School, the Broncos, celebrating Senior Night for the class of 2026, decisively defeated Waterford High School with a final score of 3 sets to 0. The event not only showcased the skills of the Union Grove players but also honored their graduating seniors, making it a memorable evening. The match commenced with a challenging first set where Union Grove found themselves trailing early, with scores at 7-3 and then 11-6 in favor of Waterford. The Broncos experienced feeling tense at the start of the match, leading to unforced errors that awarded points to the opposing team. However, the Broncos rallied, regaining momentum and eventually controlling the game, resulting in a narrow 27-25 victory. The subsequent sets saw Union Grove taking more assertive control of the match. In the second set, the Broncos displayed strong form, securing it with a score of 25-20. They continued to dominate in the third set, winning it convincingly with a score of 25-17, effectively sealing their victory against Waterford. Key players included Emma Sorensen and Karis Tucker, who were noted for their impressive defensive plays with several significant digs during crucial moments of the match.
