Union Grove High School Broncos Shine at SE WI JV Indoor Championship
Union Grove High School's Broncos delivered a standout performance at the SE WI JV Indoor Championship held on April 3, 2025, at UW-Parkside, showcasing their upcoming talents in both running and field events. The event, which featured both boys and girls from the JV team, saw several Broncos making it to the top spots in a variety of disciplines. Malakai Hill triumphed in the long jump, recording a leap of 18 feet 10.5 inches. Cassie Klepp took first in the high jump clearing 5 feet. Notably, Bri Konesko also had an impressive day, securing third place in the pole vault with a height of 8 feet 6 inches, and completing the 800 m racewalk in 5:07.44. In the running and racing events, Evelyn Clausen and Brooke Dummer were highlights, where Clausen secured 4th place in the 400 with a time of 1:10.21 and finished 5th in the 55m hurdles. Dummer made a mark by finishing 5th in the 55m dash with a time of 8.11 seconds and 3rd in the 55m hurdles. Coach Ambrose's comments reflected the optimism surrounding the team's future, "We had a very strong showing by our JV in this meet and our future looks bright for our athletes and team!" These sentiments underscore a successful event for Union Grove as they prepare for their next challenge at the SE WI Varsity Indoor Championship, again at UW-Parkside, on April 4, 2025.
