Union Grove High School Broncos Shine at Tennis Subsectionals

Union Grove High School Broncos, the pride of the school's tennis scene, delivered a commendable performance in the Subsectionals held on October 6, 2025, at Westosha High School. The event was a competition among 8 teams where Union Grove secured a respectable second place, trailing behind Westosha, which claimed the first place.

In a display of skill and determination, Union Grove's players showed their capabilities against strong competitors. Standout performances in the singles matches were crucial in securing their high rank. Cam Smith, competing in the #1 singles, dominated her match with solid 6-2, 6-2 victories. Lorelei Nelson, at #2 singles, triumphed in two matches, scoring 6-1, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-2, which showcased her prowess on the court. Elli Duval and Emma Santarelli, playing at #3 and #4 singles respectively, each won two matches with commanding scores, contributing significantly to the team's score of 20 points.

The doubles teams also performed well, with the #1 doubles team composed of Brooke Spang and Morgan Stewart winning their match against Waterford with a 6-2, 6-4 score. This victory not only added to the overall points but also highlighted the depth of talent within the team.
