Union Grove High School Broncos Show Resilience at Westosha Smash Volleyball Tournament
The Union Grove High School Broncos participated in a challenging weekend at the 'Smash' tournament held at Westosha Central High School on October 11, 2025. The event saw the Girls Varsity Volleyball team of the Broncos play several formidable opponents in a series of intense matches. Over the course of the tournament, the Broncos emerged with a record of 1-3. They secured a notable victory against Indian Trail, a team they previously lost to, highlighting their improvement and tenacity. Despite their efforts, the Broncos faced defeats against Middleton and Menomonee Falls in pool play. Their journey concluded in the Bronze Bracket, where they were outplayed by Lake Country Lutheran. Adding achievements to their weekend, the Broncos were seeded as the 5th seed out of 14 teams entering the play-offs. This ranking reflects their competitive performance and potential as they continue their season. The next challenge for Union Grove is a girls/boys double header against Wilmot at Wilmot High School on October 14, 2025. This upcoming event offers the Broncos an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and team spirit as they advance through the season.
