Union Grove High School Broncos Show Resilience at WIAA Westosha Central Sectional

The Union Grove High School Broncos faced challenging weather conditions at the WIAA Westosha Central Sectional held on June 4, 2025, at Brighton Dale GC - Par 72. It had rained throughout the night, and was continuous through Hole 12, making the course conditions tough. Union Grove finished the event 6th in a highly competitive field, posting a score of 342. Notable individual performances came from Cody Nelson, who scored an 81, and Cody Borchardt with an 82, each narrowly missing a playoff for a state berth. Other team members, Caden Eichner and Caleb Westrum, also displayed commendable efforts, both shooting 42 on the challenging back nine, marking the end of their high school golf careers. Jack Ryan managed a 91, showing consistency throughout the course. The Broncos' coach reflected on the team's performance under adverse weather conditions, praising their resilience and highlighting several standout rounds that nearly secured state berths.
