Union Grove High School Broncos Triumph in Conference Soccer Final Against Badger
The Union Grove High School Broncos capped off a stellar season by clinching the Southern Lakes Conference title on May 27, 2025, with a decisive victory against the Badger High School Badgers in a varsity girls' soccer clash. The match, which took place under sunny, cool conditions at the Badger's home field, ended with a solid 3-0 win for the Broncos, marking their 10th shutout of the year and securing their fourth consecutive Southern Lakes Conference championship.
The Broncos opened strong and maintained control throughout the game, finishing the first half with a promising lead of 3-0. Goals were scored by Ruby Christiansen, Rhyan Hood, and Chelsea Haertel, with Christiansen notching the game-winning goal. Both Hood and Christiansen also contributed with assists, showcasing a strong team effort in the offensive play. The defensive lineup, backed by goalkeeper Sam Antonneau, played a crucial role in maintaining the lead and securing the shutout victory.
This significant win not only secured the Broncos their 10th shutout but also highlighted their dominance in the conference with a record improvement to 47-2-4 since 2018.
