Union Grove High School Varsity Boys Volleyball Team Faces Off Against Waterford
In a closely contested regular season volleyball event, the Union Grove High School Varsity Boys team, nicknamed the Broncos, battled against the Waterford Wolverines at Union Grove on October 2, 2025. The match concluded with Waterford emerging victorious, defeating Union Grove with a score of 3-1.
Union Grove started strong, securing the first set with a score of 25-17. The second set showcased a nail-biting finish as the scores ran close, ending at 26-24 in favor of Waterford after a tense back-and-forth. Waterford carried this momentum into the third and fourth sets, which they dominated with scores of 25-11 and 25-14 respectively, sealing their win over the Broncos.
Key performances for Union Grove included Tyler Johnson with a remarkable 15 kills and Caden Tajnai who contributed significantly with 11 kills and 1 block. Brayden Lauf also stood out with 2 aces and 1 block. In defense, Michael Domashevsky led with 17 digs followed by Cody Borchardt who managed 11 digs.
