Union Grove Loses Despite Out Hitting Elkhorn
Union Grove fell 9-8 to Elkhorn Elks on Monday despite out-hitting them nine to five. Tucker Katterhagen and Dominic Pascucci each collected two hits for Union Grove Varsity Broncos. Union Grove fell behind by six runs in the sixth inning, but then tried to fight back. Union Grove closed the gap by scoring on a hit by pitch, a single, a single, a single, and a single. Elkhorn Elks scored two runs in the top of the third on a home run to left field by Paulson Yesbeck. Union Grove tied the game up in the bottom of the third thanks to two doubles. Union Grove Varsity Broncos tied the game at three on a double by Kody Hage. Brolan Frost earned the win for Elkhorn . Jake Reesman and Matthew Gruber led the team with two bases on balls each. Union Grove will travel to Elkhorn Elks for their next game on Thursday.
