Union Grove Offense Struggled To Get Anything Going Against Badger
Union Grove had trouble keeping up with Badger in an 8-0 loss on Tuesday. Badger got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Matthew O'Grady doubled down the left field line, and Ryan McCarthy singled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Badger scored three runs in the bottom of the second on a home run to center field by O'Grady on an 0-2 count. Riley Lussmyer earned the win for Badger. The hurler surrendered six hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none. Cody Ashburn took the loss for Union Grove. The hurler went three innings, surrendering five runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking one. Leo Weist, Matthew Gruber, Kody Hage, Drew Dinauer, Kevin Brau, and Jake Reesman each collected one hit for the Broncos. Union Grove turned one double play in the game. Union Grove welcomes Badger on Friday for their next game.
