Union Grove Wins Home-Opening Quad

Union Grove opened its home schedule with three victories Tuesday, Aug. 25, sweeping St. Catherine's and Horlick before defeating Racine Lutheran in three sets to win the UG Quad. The Broncos finished 3-0, recording 2-0 victories in their first two matches and a 2-1 decision in the finale.
Senior outside hitter Natalie Dallmann powered the Union Grove attack with 24 kills across the quad. Senior outside hitter Alaina Pitts added 16 kills, giving the Broncos consistent production from both pins as they moved efficiently through the two-set wins and responded to their longest challenge of the day against Racine Lutheran.
The setting duties were shared by juniors Paitynn Paredes and Nahla Gabbey. Paitynn handled 68 setting attempts and delivered 31 assists, while Nahla recorded 21 assists on 61 attempts. Their combined work helped Union Grove distribute the ball to multiple attackers and maintain its offensive rhythm over seven sets.
