Cabrini High School pulled away for a 4-1 victory over Austin Catholic on Tuesday night in Allen Park, but the Crusaders still produced a highlight of their own with a goal from Keely Bieske off an assist by Sophia Pozzuoli.

The match at Cabrini High School ended with Austin Catholic on the wrong side of the scoreline, yet the Crusaders' best attacking sequence came when Pozzuoli set up Bieske for the team's lone goal. That combination accounted for the key moment listed in the match summary and gave Austin Catholic a tangible bright spot against a tough opponent.

Bieske and Pozzuoli stood out as the Crusaders' most notable contributors in the attack. Bieske finished the chance to put Austin Catholic on the board late in the game, and Pozzuoli's helper created the team's clearest offensive success of the night.

Austin Catholic entered the road contest as the visiting side against Cabrini High School at 15305 Wick Rd. The Crusaders were unable to keep pace over the full match as Cabrini scored four times, but Austin Catholic avoided the shutout and came away with a sequence to build on as the season continues.

For the Crusaders, the result will send the focus forward to the next opportunity on the schedule this Thursday against St. Catherine of Siena. Even in defeat, Austin Catholic can point to the finishing touch from Bieske and the setup by Pozzuoli as a positive piece of play from Tuesday's matchup.
