Faith Christian tops Austin Catholic 3-1 as Crusaders break through with second-half goal
Faith Christian defeated Austin Catholic 3-1 on Thursday in a girls soccer match.
Austin Catholic’s goal came from Keely Bieske, who finished with the Crusaders’ lone score. Emerson Minjoe and Elena Ferri were both credited with assists on the play, giving Austin Catholic a brief spark as it tried to climb back into the match.
The Crusaders played at home against Faith Christian and spent much of the evening trying to recover after falling behind. Austin Catholic Had multiple chances, but was unable to find the back of the net.
Austin Catholic found a positive attacking moments throughout the match, but the lone goal came though the connection between Ferri, Minjoe and Bieske. That combination supplied the clearest offensive highlight for the Crusaders in a match where goals were difficult to come by.
