Avon tops Bay Boys Lacrosse 14-1

Avon pulled away Tuesday night for a 14-1 win over Bay High School in a varsity boys lacrosse matchup in Avon, handing the Rockets a tough result despite a short-handed effort that continued to compete throughout all four quarters.

Bay’s lone goal came from Zavier Phinney, who accounted for the Rockets’ only finish of the night. While scoring chances were limited against an Avon side that controlled the game, Bay’s effort never dropped off.
