Bay Boys Cross Country Team Places 12th at Tiffin Carnival

The Bay High School Rockets Boys Cross Country team took part in the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival on September 6, 2025, in Tiffin. Competing against 40 teams, many of which are among the top in Ohio, the Rockets finished 12th. Leading the Bay High School's varsity team, Sacha Jones set an impressive pace with a time of 16:53. Close on his heels was Liam Jager, who broke the 17-minute barrier for the second time in his career with a time of 16:59. Stephen Murphy contributed significantly with a personal best of 17:26. Murphy is proving himself to be Mr. Consistent as he never seems to have an off day. Gavin English, recorded a major breakthrough by finishing in 17:30, cutting down his previous best time by 43 seconds. Adrian Ray rounded out the team's scoring efforts with a commendable 18:23. Freshman, Charlie Juratic, came in close behind Ray to run a 40 second PR in a time of 18:26. In the open race, the Rockets continued to display their depth. Max Clevenger achieved a personal record by nearly a minute, clocking in at 19:58. Following him, Micah Bendoraitis dropped his personal best by 1:23 to finish in 20:07, demonstrating remarkable endurance in the final mile. Close behind Micah was Graham Dunstan who had a great season debut to run a time of 20:14. Leo Krueger keeps improving his season best and ran a time of 20:17. Athan Thanos got out to a great start and decreased his PR by 37 seconds to run a 20:31. Liam Loeffler, despite dealing with injuries, also ran a 32 second PR to run a 22:13. Gerry Maloney keeps taking large cuts off of his PR to run a 22:43. Jonah Lindsay had the largest PR of the day to improve his time by 3:30 to run a 22:47. Looking ahead, the Bay High School Rockets are set to compete next at the Spartan Invite in Boardman on September 13, 2025, where they aim to continue their momentum.
