Bay Boys XC Finish 2nd at Paul Primeau Invitational
The Bay High School Rockets Boys Cross Country team delivered an impressive performance at the Paul Primeau Invitational on September 26, 2025, hosted at Gilmour Academy. Competing against a field of strong contenders including Kenston, Strongsville, Brecksville, St. Edward, No. Royalton, Green, Rogers, Eastlake North, Euclid, and Firestone, the Rockets secured 2nd place with a team score of 85 points. Sacha Jones led the Rockets with a time of 17:16.6, earning him 6th place overall. Following closely behind were teammates Liam Jager with a time of 17:34.4 in 10th place, Gavin English at 17:52.1 for 14th place, Stephen Murphy who finished 17th at 17:56.1, and Mikey Taylor who took 38th place with a time of 18:41.0. Additionally, Gavin Fry had a strong showing in the open race, nearly matching his personal best with a time only 4 seconds off. With this strong showing at Gilmour Academy, the Bay High School Rockets are looking to keep their momentum rolling. The team is set to compete at the Tuslaw Invite on October 4, 2025, which will be held at Nickajack Farm.
