Bay Boys Lacrosse fell to Olmsted Falls 9-6 on Tuesday night at Bay High School, as a fast and aggressive opening gave way to the kind of back-and-forth defensive game where every possession mattered. The Rockets stayed within reach throughout, but Olmsted Falls did enough in the closing stretch to secure the road win.

Rocco Ereditario led Bay’s offense with 3 G, accounting for half of the team’s scoring in a game that never offered much room to operate. John Allan added 1 G, 1 A, Grady Joyce scored 1 G, and Zavier Phinney finished with 1 G, 1 A as the Rockets pieced together their six-goal night against a steady opposing defense.

The Rockets’ early energy helped set the tone, and Bay’s defensive effort kept the contest tight deep into the four-quarter matchup. The game summary was reflected on the field, a fast aggressive start, a defensive game, and a back-and-forth battle that required stops, clears, and patience on the offensive end. Even as Bay looked for chances to swing momentum, Olmsted Falls was able to answer often enough to stay in front.

One of the biggest reasons the Rockets remained in contention was goalie James Honicky, who delivered another standout performance between the pipes with 18 SV. Honicky’s work in cage kept Bay within striking distance during long defensive stretches and helped prevent the margin from getting away. In a low-scoring game shaped by defensive pressure, that save total stood out as one of the night’s most important numbers.

Bay did not provide a full quarter-by-quarter scoring breakdown, and no faceoff totals were available, but the individual production and Honicky’s 18 SV underscored how competitive the Rockets were throughout the night. Ereditario’s 3 G supplied the main finishing touch, while Allan and Phinney each contributed 1 G, 1 A to support the attack.

For Bay, the result was a frustrating one because the Rockets showed the defensive edge and resilience needed to stay in the game. Against Olmsted Falls, the difference was simply that a tight contest tilted the visitors’ way late, despite another strong night from Honicky and several key offensive contributions across the lineup.
