Bay Boys Tennis earns 4-1 win over Lakewood for third victory of the season

Bay High School picked up its third victory of the season Monday, defeating Lakewood 4-1 in a varsity boys tennis match at Bradley Road Park in Bay Village.

The Rockets were led by a series of strong individual performances, including a straight-set win from Martin at first singles and another decisive straight-set result from the first doubles team of Blaise and Nate. Bay also got a milestone moment at singles, where Zach Graham recorded his first varsity victory in a three-set thriller.

That breakthrough helped define the afternoon for the Rockets, who continued to build momentum through the lineup. At doubles, Ethan and Beckett added another notable result, earning their first varsity win in straight sets. With Bay securing wins in both doubles flights and key singles positions, the Rockets controlled the match from top to bottom.

The combination of experienced play and first-time breakthroughs stood out in the 4-1 result. Martin set the tone with a dominant performance at first singles, while Zach Graham delivered one of the day’s most competitive matches by coming through in three sets. Blaise and Nate were in command at first doubles, and Ethan and Beckett closed out their match efficiently to collect a milestone win of their own.

Played under partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 70s, the match gave Bay another solid team result as the season continues.
