Bay Girls Basketball defeats North Olmsted Eagles
The Rockets Girls Basketball team secured a decisive 68-34 victory over the North Olmsted Eagles in a regular season conference game held at Bay High School on December 13, 2025. The Rockets demonstrated a dominant performance from the start, leading to a significant halftime advantage with a score of 33-13. Key players for Bay High School included Madelyn Lee, who scored a game-high 20 points, Norah Trefz, who contributed significantly with 15 points, all from beyond the arc, and a breakout performance by freshman Chloe Kazma who scored 19 points and secured 14 rebounds. Assists were frequently dished out by Anna Weingart, who topped the chart with 5 assists, followed by Caroline Chilton with 3. Defensively, the Rockets were just as strong. Madelyn Lee led the team in steals with 6, while both Anna Weingart and Caroline Chilton each contributed 5 steals, disrupting North Olmsted's attempts to build momentum. The Eagles struggled to narrow the margin, and the Rockets extended their lead in the second half, closing the game with a final score of 68-34 in favor of Bay. Following this victory, the Bay High School Rockets improve their season record to 4-2, remaining undefeated in conference play with a 4-0 record; a feat which hasn't been accomplished since the 2015-2016 season. Looking ahead, the Rockets will face off against the Rocky River Pirates at Rocky River High School on December 19, 2025, aiming to continue their winning streak in conference games.
