Bay Girls Golf Earns 5th Place at Sectionals
The Bay High School Rockets faced stiff competition at the D1 Sectionals Tournament in girls varsity golf, held at Big Met on September 29, 2025. Competing against all D1 teams in northeast Ohio, the Rockets showcased their skills, achieving a commendable 5th place with a team score of 370 in an 18-hole stroke play format. Among the standout performers, Charlotte Fox shone brightly, scoring an impressive 84, which secured her a spot at the District Tournament as an individual. Amelia Dalalau followed with a score of 94, while Annabel Sjoberg and Caroline Kousaie posted scores of 95 and 97 respectively. Cannon Conley rounded out the team's efforts with a score of 107. The narrow two-stroke difference that kept Bay from securing the 4th place and advancing to Districts as a team was a pivotal moment in the tournament. The coach expressed pride in the team's performance and the growth of its senior members. 'This tournament showed the growth of our seniors who have been committed to golf since their freshman year. This is our highest finish at Sectionals in the last four years, and our seniors have been outstanding leaders for our program!' remarked the coach. Looking ahead, Charlotte Fox will represent the Rockets at the District Tournament scheduled for October 7. The school community extends its congratulations to the seniors for an exceptional high school golf career.
