Bay High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team Faces Tough Outing Against Medina

In a challenging regular season lacrosse game on April 16, 2025, the Bay High School Rockets fell short against Medina High School's Battling Bees, with a final score of 6-20 at Medina High School. Despite the tough competition, the Rockets showed resilience, with standout performances from several players.

The game started on a competitive note but quickly saw the Battling Bees taking a substantial lead. By halftime, the score stood at Bay 4, Medina 15, making the task ahead for the Rockets quite formidable. Gracie Fitchpatrick led the scoring for Bay High School with 3 goals, followed by Hadley Clark with 2 and Kate Fitchpatrick with 1. Assists were contributed by Avery Schriner and Gracie Fitchpatrick, each adding to the Rockets' scoring efforts.

In goal, Sophia Crimaldi defended the net robustly, accumulating 6 saves throughout the game. Despite the loss, these individual performances highlight the skill and potential within the Bay High School girls' varsity team.

Looking ahead, the Rockets have an opportunity to bounce back in their next game scheduled for April 22, 2025, against Columbus Academy. With the current season record at 5-6, the team is eager to improve their standing and showcase their continued development in the sport.
