Bay High School Rockets Face Tough Hockey Outing Against Notre Dame Cathedral Latin Lions

In a challenging regular season hockey matchup at the Mentor Civic Arena on December 7, 2024, the Bay High School Rockets were unable to secure a win against the Notre Dame Cathedral Latin Lions, with a final score of 2-7. The Rockets started the game with promising energy, securing a goal by Murray Oldham in the first period, assisted by Britt Marriott and Will Waters. Despite their efforts, the Lions led 2-1 at the end of the period. The Rockets continued to struggle as the game progressed, with Carsten Stofcheck adding a second goal for the Rockets in the second period, assisted by Murray Oldham and Brendan Marriott, but were still trailing 2-4 as the period ended. The Lions dominated the final period, finishing the game at 7-2. Bay High School's goalie, Braeden Egan, faced a tough game, enduring a persistent offense from the Lions. The overall team performance reflected in the struggle to keep up with the pace and strategy of their opponents. Looking ahead, the Rockets are preparing for their next game, set for December 13, 2024, against Twinsburg at Winterhurst. Currently, the Rockets hold a season record of 1-1-2 and are keen to enhance their performance in the upcoming games.
