Bay High School Rockets Girls Varsity GolfTeam Claims Third at Willard Tournament
On August 7, 2025, the Bay High School Rockets girls varsity golf team competed at the Willard Tournament held at Willard Golf Club. Facing a tough lineup, the team scored a collective 393 across 18 holes of stroke play, securing a strong third place among eight competing teams.
The tournament lineup included several skilled teams, such as Buckeye, Edison, Crestview, Ontario, Mapleton, and the host, Willard. The Bay High School Rockets showcased significant skill and coordination, navigating through the challenging course with a strong strategic approach.
Highlighting individual performances, Charlotte Fox led the team with an impressive score of 90. Close behind were Annabel Sjoberg and Caroline Kousaie, who posted scores of 99 and 98, respectively. Mariah VanNewhouse and Cannon Conley also contributed to the team's score with rounds of 106 and 107. These performances were crucial in bolstering the team's overall standing.
This achievement highlights the hard work and dedication put forth by the Rockets throughout the season, as they continue to build their skills and compete at a high level across various tournaments.
