Bay High School Rockets Girls Varsity Volleyball Secures Victory Over Lakewood Rangers
In a thrilling regular season conference volleyball face-off, the Bay High School Rockets Girls Varsity team claimed a decisive 3-1 victory against the Lakewood Rangers on September 18, 2025, at Bay High School.
The first set demonstrated close competition, with the Rockets narrowly securing a win with a score of 25-22. Despite a setback in the second set, where the Rangers took the lead with a mirror score of 25-22, the Rockets rebounded strongly in the subsequent rounds. The third set saw the Rockets gaining a slight edge with a score of 25-21. The fourth and final set showcased their dominant form as they overwhelmed the Rangers with a commanding 25-9 finish, sealing the match victory.
Key performers for the Rockets included Payton Masterson who stood out with 13 service points, followed by Olivia Miller contributing 12 points. Nina Peet and Ella Hoerig scored 9 points each, while Fiona Walden added 8 points, Amelia Vecchio 7 points, and Camille Costin rounded out the scoring with 1 point. Their cooperative efforts were instrumental in the Rockets' success.
